Lego Star Wars
This is a brilliant game - what a great combination! My son loves it, and you can play 2 player mode easily.
There's a trailer of it here |
Re: Lego Star Wars
I will get it... soon... when I got some spare cash.

Re: Lego Star Wars
I played the demo, and loved it. Although it is aimed at kids I think I will get it. After all it is a starwars game. It will also let me see some of EPIII.
I have just read the novel and this definatly looks like it is going to be one hell of a film. |
Lego Star Wars (PC) sound problem
Anyone else not getting ALL the sound effects in Lego Star Wars? It seems a bunch of sound effects are not playing (some light sabre sounds, blaster sounds). I even tried copying the sounds from the demo version!
The most noteable sounds that are missing are blasters and the light saber sound effects. No death sounds either. When I play the demo, all the sounds are there. Very interesting. The only difference between the demo and the full version seems to be that the demo uses .WAV files and the full version has a SFX.DAT file. Copying the .WAV files over and modifying the audio.cfg doesn't help anything. There doesn't seem to be any help over at Eidos website except a FAQ that doesn't address this sound problem. Any help from someone who has fixed this would be greatly appreciated. My LegoStarwars.exe = 11,362,304 bytes |
Re: Lego Star Wars
hi and :welcome: to the site , i assume you are talking about an illegal copy of the game , if you are then i suspect you will get no help and may well have the post removed , however , if you are not then i hope someone can help you :)

Re: Lego Star Wars
I see nothing to suggest anything illegal here. :)

Re: Lego Star Wars
thanks for the greeting. I purchased the game.

Re: Lego Star Wars
Well I see before you edited your posted you named to of the ermm... not so legal versions. If it is the real game and you are using the CD it should work fine. The only reasons for sounds missing is if you are using a no CD patch!!

Re: Lego Star Wars
it would seem to be a likely cause , then again , why not take it back to the shop you bought it from and ask them to replace it for you as it may be faulty ;) :)

Re: Lego Star Wars
My son got it a few days ago for his PS2 and loves it!

Re: Lego Star Wars
just wondering if midimusic has managed to get his problem sorted out yet :)
|
Re: Lego Star Wars
No, not yet! Still have silent blasters. I also noticed that in the demo version there are supposed to be player "jump-and-land" sounds. Don't hear them either.

Re: Lego Star Wars
I got the Xbox version of this and together with the kids we all had a great laugh playing it. Only gripe though was that the game bombed out occasionaly.

Re: Lego Star Wars
I think the idea for the game is genius but it is frustrating to have to play the levels over and over in order to complete. All those who have played will know what I mean and for all those who dont you will if you buy it.
