U/S isen't working
Does anyone know why my D/S is working perfect but my upstream isent working whatsoever?
Also how to fix. TY in advance. |
Re: U/S isen't working
can you surf???
Are the sync and rdy light on???? |
Re: U/S isen't working
um, can you clarify? downstream needs request and acknowldge packets, you can't have one wthout the other!
If you meant windows doesnt report any upstream packets, this isn't a problem. also, :welcome: to the site |
Re: U/S isen't working
hi thanks.
All LED's are on except U/S and why would windows not report and packets going up? I'm looking now and it says D/L 608,509 and U/S 0.0. |
Re: U/S isen't working

Re: U/S isen't working
300kbit UPLOAD speed????
|
Re: U/S isen't working
yeah. you'll probably max out download at about 360KB/s, upload about 35KB/s, all being well (remember everything is specced in bits! :))

Re: U/S isen't working
d3v please tell us can you surf
|
Re: U/S isen't working
hi thanks for info.... damm bytes and bits lol... and i though there were 1024 bits per byte so wouldent that make it 37.02KB/s rather than 30KB/s or have I just lost the plot?

Re: U/S isen't working
you COULD just tell us if you can surf properly with your connection, if you can then all is well!
|
Re: U/S isen't working
8 bits in a byte. unless you're into really old comms stuff, in which case it could be as low as 5...but that's just silly.
D/L: 3mbips = 3072kbips = 384 KB/s U/L 300kbips = 37.5KB/s when i said 35KB/s i was just rounding down a bit, you probably wont get quite as high as the full speed anyway. not noticably different though! hope this helps :) |
