Re: wireless is working, but ethernet is not???
Okaaaaayy.....
What OS are you using? What wireless router are you using? Are the two connections concerned on one machine or two? (ie. are we saying that the wireless on your laptop works but the wired on the desktop doesn't?) What steps have you tried? Has it ever worked? If so, when was the last time it worked and what have you installed/changed since then? __________________ NIC = Network Interface Card. Go to Start > Control Panel > Network Connections Find one that says LAN, right click and select properties. Make sure it doesn't say "Disabled" |

Re: wireless is working, but ethernet is not???
You did buy patch cable and not cross over didnt you>?

Re: wireless is working, but ethernet is not???
how can i find difference with patch cable and crossover cable ?
thanks |
Re: wireless is working, but ethernet is not???
All my patch cables actually have patch written on them dunno if this is the norm
If the original cable was damaged and you replaced with the wrong cable this might be the cause of your problem simple diagram if the cable isnt clearly labeled http://www.perfectdrivers.com/howto/crossover.html |
