If it is then congrats and things DO get better once you are out.

Yes, sorry, not a very clear post that. I am leaving of my own volition.

No huffs or sulks or anything, I just have a better offer now.

Well congrats. Better you go under your own steam than waiting for the axe when they decide another contact centre isn't needed.

Re: Leaving

Thanks everyone.

I am very sad to be going though. It's always a scary time leaving what you know and what you're good at for something you don't know and may well be crap at. But, no turning back now.

Ahhhh, now I understand.

Thought that you were "leaving" NTL to get your services from another provider.......

Sorry, took me a while to cotton on :D

Apologies.

My original post was really crap actually, which sort of sums up how I feel.

Like my old boss used to say "There is nothing to fear, except fear itself".

I left engineering for sales and within three years we were the UK's top dealer for our franchise.
I left sales eventually to teach myself software development, two years later I was UK Programmer of the Year.
If you have an interest in what you are doing you will be successful, most people have no interest in their job and consequently never succeed.
The more you enjoy your work the more successful you will be at it.
All my best wishes to you scrotnig, work hard and enjoy the inevitable success.

Awwwww scrotnig! :hugs:
Don't feel apprehensive, as you said yourself, you have something better to go to - so look forwards to the future, and enjoy it!
Don't forget all your old mates on here though..........:)
Good luck! :tu:

Yes - being the newbie again is tough. It's only through gaining job-specific knowledge and experience that you become good, so resign yourself to a few months of feeling utterly useless :D

The people I feel sorry for are those who have done the same job all their lives because they're too scared to try something knew. I think I'll end up like that, though I don't want to.
