Which is the best router for NTL

Hi
I want to buy a wireless DSL/Cable Gateway Router to connect my desktop to my laptop. The desktop is in an upstairs office the laptop would be used in the room directly beneath the office.

I stupidly bought the wrong sort of router a couple of weeks ago, it's now going onto Ebay. So I need the name of the best router I can get, I'm not too worried about the price, I need something that's going to work.

Many thanks

Firstly why don't you return this to where you bought it from?

Me and many others have found the Linksys WRT54GUK performs well (thats the wireless one), but others also like Belkin and DLink and many no-names.

Just make sure it is NOT a combined ADSL modem and Router and you will be fine.
