Question on cable modem installation
 

Hey all

We finally got an appointment booked for an engineer to install a cable modem, so we don't have to go through our old pace box
My question is....
Do they have to run a 2nd cable from outside into our house? or can they somehow attach it to the small white box inside the house which is linked to the set top box?

In our case, they simply split the cable going into the Pace box ...
