:welcome: to CF moforuss.
You should be able to create a new dial-up connection on the new PC. You need to go to your old machine and right click on the NTL dial-up connection, make a note of all of the settings in there (telephone numbers, account names, passwords etc. Now go to your new PC (assuming that you have Windows XP on it) and click on START > CONTROL PANEL and go to Network Connections. Now select Create a New Connection and follow the Wizard. You will need to select the "Connect to the Internet", "Set up my connection manually", "Connect using a dial up modem" options and then enter the required details. Provided that you have all of the details it should all work ok. |
Re: Help.How do i...
hi and :welcome: to the site , it should be as simple as popping the disc in and following the instructions , is there anything particular that you are struggling on ??????? :)

Re: Help.How do i...
As another thought, you might be able to right-click on your existing connection (on the old PC) and select Copy, now put a floppy disk in the drive and navigate to it through My Computer, once the drive listing comes up try right-clicking and selecting paste.
You might be able to simply transfer the connection across this way, not sure though..... Been a long time since I've had dial-up ;) __________________ Or you could just do as paul says and use the original disk again :D __________________ You'll still need your user name and password though. |
