Sky One Stuttering

Over the last few weeks I've noticed that Sky One has been stuttering. The picture locks up for a few seconds and restarts. The problem doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it can make the channel unwatchable. This evening durring "Annoymous Rex" we were presented with a series of "still frames" rather than a moving image. Sometimes the sound is intersperced with a loud "static" burst for a fraction of a second. We have also seen the problem on Channel 5. And on a couple of other channels like Cartoon Network.

Rebooting the STB does not make any difference.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions?
Regards,

sounds like the L&B is on its way out, put the card out leave it for a few minutes and then reboot it, this normally works.

Why is everyone presuming that this is a Sky digibox?

When I had NTL DTV this sort of thing used to happen fairly regularly which is why I dropped NTL and switched to Sky.

Assuming this really is about cable, I'd say the signal levels need adjusting. Call Customer Services - they'll get it sorted (for free, of course!)

I'm getting the same problem with Sky digital, all of my channels - been like this for a week now. Phone up the tech guys and they say it will cost £65 for an engineer to come out. Phoned customer services tonight and advised I want to cancel Sky and go with NTL, wasn't prepared to pay £65 as I have been a customer for 10yrs. I am now getting an engineer to come and fix things for free :)
