They used to throw bricks at cars from a footbridge in Peterborough, the council ended up caging the whole thing in as it was getting extremely dangerous for drivers :(

Unfortunately it's nothing new. Twice I've been on a bus when a brick was chucked at it. The first time I was lucky it hit inches above the window, the window just in front of my seat :Yikes: though the earlier bus wasn't so lucky, it's window was smashed. The second, in January, a window on the upper deck was smashed.

when i was at school we had been on a trip and were coming back through Blackheath (SE London) and some little kids (about 8 or 9 years old) fired a stone at the window with a catapult... shattered it completely!

Quite a good job it was good quality glass because it stayed in place... otherwise there would have been glass everywhere and probably quite a few injured children :(

It was quite amusing seeing the bus driver chase after them though :) never seen a sixty year old run so fast :erm:

This sort of thing has been happening in Belfast as well. A couple of years ago a woman in her twenties was killed when someone droped half a concrete block onto the Westlink. Unfortunately she just happened to catch the 15lbs+ of concrete in the chest at 50 mph. Dont think anyone ever got knicked for it either.

Yes, living not that far from the one in Wales I remember it. This however is kids and it is becoming very widespread in our area.

The council put a cycle path a few hundred yards and about 200ft higher than my house, we had lots of problems with stones being thrown and neighbours getting windows smashed and cars damaged as a result.

The council used small stones by the side of the path as decoration, or should I say "Ammunition" :disturbd:

This sort of thing seems all too common now, why on earth do people do it? :shrug:
At least the police caught the scrote responsible for this one. :(

Personally I'd have thrown him under a lorry on the M3 as his rehabilitation. :rolleyes:
