Error (sms)
 
I have tried to upgrade online but get an error message as below,
Error looking up cable modem details for (modem mac address) (no SMS details).

several of my friends who live close by have done this with no problem

the username and password are correct it verifies connection and modem
without any problems then comes to the next page with the above error :confused:

Any advice appreciated thanks in advance

You're probably best off phoning ntl & explaining the problem.


Tech Support is open until midnight.

Customer Services closed at 8pm, but will be open in the morning.

tech support won't be able to do anything about this i'm afraid....

SMS is the billing database used for celtic, luton and kirklees regions- tech support do not have access to it.

I *think* this message occurs because the internet (sabs) account and the billing (sms) accounts are not linked together properly
