Excellent idea, and the technology is there. The main problem I can see is that with HDTV broadcasts, we could probably only watch one or two programmes a month before the NTL broadband caps were reached. What we really need is for NTL/TW to join in too. I know we have got, or will be getting VoD, but this still will not help with HDTV.

There could be one big flaw in that article,

If those 30% can't get satellite or digital, how are they going to get enough bandwidth to be able to watch TV via IP?
