Phoneline cancellation

First of all hello! :dunce:

I use NTL's phone service for 6 months now,and i would like to cancel the service as im a student and in few months im going back home. As far as i know i am not tied up to a contract.(?)

Today i received my bill for period : 12 Mar 2005-11 April 2005, as i don't want to pay for June and i do not need the phone from June ownwards when should i call to cancel the service? I suggest on 30 of April...? :erm: Will i get a refund for the month i paid in advance? I mean if i cancel on 30 of April my bill for 12 May to 12 June will be on its way,and i dont want to pay for the June. I hope you follow me !

Sorry for my poor English :disturbd:

You will have a nine month student contract if you're lucky, if not it will be a 12 month contract.

This is bad news! Thanks for your answer. I called cc and the very reasonable man there said that i can have a temporary disconnection for 3-4 months and then use it again from October ownwards. Nice NTL :tu:
