#15 month dialup

Is the old NTL offer of 15quid / month which goes towards your calls and you got free dial up internet access, still going ?

That was avaiable to anyone on a BT line wasn't it ? - are there any regional variations why you can't have it

If your friend is in a NTL cabled area he won't be able to have this. :)

No he isn't - but another mate who is NOT is a cabled area ( he would have had that if it was ) was able to get the £15 dial offer ?

Re: #15 month dialup

there are two packages for on-net (ntl) and off-net (bt) customers...

for on net customers the options are...
(you must have an ntl phone line)
unlimited package - £12.49 per month
pay as you go package - 3p per minute weekdays, 2p per minute weekday evenings and 1p per minute weekends (with 5p connection charge).

for off-net customers the option is ntl:freedom
www.ntlfreedom.com
(you must have a bt phone line)
here you can get a number of packages including

ntl:freedom unlimited 12.49 a month

so the ntl on net package would depend on your phoneline because you would need an ntl line installed

but the off net packages should not matter as long as you are on the bt network, aless he was trying to get broadband (adsl) not dial up

As ian@huth said, you can only get a NTL Freedom account if you have a BT line and are outside a NTL cabled area.

If you live inside a NTL cabled area and have BT the only way to get NTL as your ISP would be to move your telephone line to NTL as well!

It doesn't matter whose telephone line you have if you live in a NTL cabled area. You can only get NTL via the cable if you are in a cabled area and the telephone line doesn't come into the equation..
