Probs in Farnborough (Guildford)

Anyone having gaming probs in Farnborough? Guildford servers seem to be having some issues...

(glfd-t2code-a-ge-wan64.inet.ntl.com is returning 300ms sometimes)

Yep, I'm just outside Farnbrough, and having random disconnects and lag spikes... looks like something's up with the servers :(

If you reply in the same thread twice in succession quickly, your 2nd reply will get added to your 1st one.

What happened with Tech Support? What did they say?

Re: Probs in Farnborough (Guildford)

see if your problems persist now...

i have tried a traceroute to the ip that you tested and am getting high ping times to...

Code:

|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
|                                      WinMTR statistics                                  |
|                      Host              -  %  | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last |
|------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------|
|                  gi-0-3-ffm2.noris.net -    0 |  114 |  114 |  15 |  37 |  359 |  31 |
|        gi-0-3-33-rt1-nbg.core.noris.net -    0 |  114 |  114 |  31 |  41 |  282 |  47 |
|          gi-upl.RS8K1.CISO2.hetzner.de -    0 |  114 |  114 |  31 |  35 |  47 |  31 |
|          gi-upl.RS8600.CISO3.hetzner.de -    0 |  114 |  114 |  31 |  33 |  47 |  31 |

even though it is an off peak time.

but unfortunately this does not tell us a great deal as it may deal with ICMP (ping packets) with less priority than data packets suggesting that there is a problem when there isnt one

Trickier still to blame Guildford when gfd-bb-b, the last node in the guildford segment, is averaging 9ms with a max ping of 16 on your trace...

Re: Probs in Farnborough (Guildford)

Well the conversation was kinda me trying to say there was an issue at Guildford (even pointed him to the pic I placed on the web, same as above) and him saying everything was ok, it must be the gaming site as I can access email and web. After 25mins I said you win and that I had to go eat dinne, and hung up. He twice had to talk to his supervisor (An Indian name Sean? sure!) and the whole thing was a total waste of time.

see if the issue is resolved or not over the next 24 hours (so to include peak time usage)
