Backing up files using webspace
I read with interest the the last post that the person backed up their IE6 favourites using their webspace.
If anyone could enlighten me on how to do this I would be grateful.I thought I would start a new thread on this as it is seperate from the question they asked:dunce: |
Re: Backing up files using webspace
Copy the folder c:\documents and settings\USERNAME\Favourites to your webspace. Obviously replace USERNAME

Re: Backing up files using webspace
Another method is to open Internet Explorer and go to File > Import and Export...
In the new window that opens click Next >, select Export Favorites and click Next >. Select which favourites you want to export, most will want to select all so click Favorites and click Next >. Ensure Export to a File or Address is selected and choose a location. Click Next > and then Finish. All your favourites will then be exported to a file called bookmark.htm Upload this file to your webspace and then you have access to your favourites from anywhere :) Ben |
