NTL Webspace
 

Is anybody else having problems accesing the NTL webspace at the moment !!

Just can't seem to connect no matter what I do !! Must note I have never used the webspace since joining NTL ( 3weeks ago ) do I need to activate it !

It will be activated automatically.

However, the creation may have failed when you registered. If you PM me your username i will have a check today.

It might never have been created, as said above. When I first tried to use mine a few yrs ago, I tried unsuccessfully for over a year, thinking it was just me doing something wrong.

Eventually I phoned tech support, who told me none had been allocated to me when I signed up, which was why I couldn't access it....doh...lol :)

I uploaded to mine just the other day, and it was connecting ok then.

I heard last time they did a speed increase, that they were also increasing our web space allowance, but I've seen no mention of it since. Anyone know if they will be, or is it still 55mb (the bumpf on their site now says you get less...50mb). :)

Ok the sage continues..

Through a DOS prompt I can connect fine with my username and password (now that I am using the correct password ) However if I try to use CuteFTP (or amny other FTP client ) I get the following:

Also when trying to access the site through IE, ftp://upload.ntlworld.com I get the following:

Windows cannot access this folder: Make sure you have typed the file name correctly and that you have permission to access the folder.
Details:
The connection with the server was reset.

Any clues much appreciated.....
