Cyber Angels
Is anyone else being scanned by the Cyber Angels? My firewall has in the past week blocked over 40 scans that come in groups of 2 every few hours scanning port 1080 and 6588. The whois resolves to a Dutch IP 217.21.119.25. Any attempt to email them is bounced. Fortunately I am a good boy so have nothing to fear,:D. I just wondered what they are up to. I have had a look at the US Cyber Angels web site and it seems they are part of the Guardian Angels organisation.

Not seen that IP in my list but they seem to have been active of late..

Already seen that site, the question is why are they accountable for 107,286 probes in the last month?

I am a member of the Cyberangels Cyber Crimes Unit.
I am responding to your request for information. I can assure you that the group or person responsible for the hacking attempt is not affiliated with cyberangels.org. The IP address comes back to an ISP in Amsterdam, Netherlands to a domain name of cyberangels.nl . This is not us. We are trying to get these people closed down. I am going to ask you to please tell me what country you live in. I am trying to gather as much victim information I can to turn over to the proper authorities. I do not want to know anything else, just the country in which you live. Respectfully, gearhead Hi The above was recd via email when I complained about hacking attempts,I am in contact and will post anything I learn.. |

These cyberangels.nl crowd are also probing me, not that Norton is giving them anything back;) Enterian |
Found some info about cyberangels.nl on Spamhaus they would appear to be a spam-friendly ISP outfit.
They have now found theirselves a place on my firewall 'block' list! EDIT: Ports 1080 and 6588 are used by proxy servers so they are obviously looking for servers to hide behind for their anonymous surfing tools as used by kiddy porn lovers. ****! Enterian:mad: :grind: |
cyberangles are a bunch of IP stealing, spamming and h4x0ring ****s. The best thing to do is demand that ntl null routes anything to do with them.

Try this BBC article for more info on CyberAngels (you'll find it about halfway down the article in the paragraph headed 'Removing spam'.

Thanks for that, very interesting reading.
The cyberangels port scans have been very consistant but seem to have stopped on the 28.06.03. Until then I got several each day. That article makes you think about British Airways IT standards. It looks like Uncle Bill Gates is on the spammers trail now:) http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3020566.stm |
Hi..The following is a copy of the latest email from cyberangels org....I thought that I had seen your name/e-mail before...ergo I sent you another
response... Sorry about the duplication in answers. Apparently the "gent" who is responsible for the cyberangel.nl is in South Africa and is being investigated....finally. Most Respectfully, gearhead CyberCrime Unit, Cyberangels... |
