Welcome to Cable Forum

Let's try and rule out any fault with the STB or TV. Do you have a VCR or DVD player that has scart connections. If so, unply the STB, and instead plug in the VCR / DVD using the same Scart lead. Do you get sound now? If yes, we need to look more closely at the STB settings, if not, there is a problem with your TV or SCART.

Might be useful for someone to aid diagnosis to know your STB model and TV model.

Thanks for the reply its much appreciated.

However iv tried changing the SCART from tv to STB and also a new SCART lead.

Iv also tried different tv's so im quite sure it not the tv.

The most likely problem is that its the STB but i have no idea how i would locate or fix a problem with this.

Any more suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi Stevenr

:welcome:

Have you tried turning the STB off, leave it off for 5 minutes, then turn it back on?

If you have swapped over TVs, tried different SCART leads, etc, and powered it all down (TV, STB) for a few minutes then it does suggest a fault either hardware or configuration with the STB (a PACE model I gather).

It's probably going to be a call to Customer Services alleging a fault with the STB.
