NTL Cable = Max Headroom on steroids

I realise i should probably ring customer support about this, but I dont really fancy sitting on my phone for half an hour...thought i'd try here first for any clues

Just recently my cable is absolutely terrible, particularly at night. We'll be watching something and then it goes into (what i call) "Max Headroom" mode where the pictures freezes but jolts around whilst the audio loops constantly (for those that didnt watch TV in the 80's you may not know what i'm talking about with regards to Mr Headroom :D )

It always seems to be a major issue on Channel 4, but tonight it seems to have spread to all other channels. I've unplugged everything, turned everything off, but to no avail

Has anyone any thoughts - weather ??

:welcome:

when you are on a channel that is having the problem, while on plain tv screen, do the following:

press page up
then page down
then blue

This will give you some information, can you post back Pre and Post RS errors and SNR

It is likely that you will need to call faults though...
