They had Performance, and dropped it! - used to have some nice music programs.

As with gay channels, ntl seems to have a problem with arts channels too.

Nobody ever did tell us why they dropped Performance.

I used to pay extra for the music package just to get the performance channel and they dropped it without any warning let alone consultation. Used to get spanish, italian, german and french channels and they dropped them as well. Wonder if there is any way to influence the choice of channels?

I think, if I can remember rightly, it is supply and demand, if there is no demand for the product, they do not have to supply it, sorry guys.

Which is where we come back to the BBC and TV licences......At least the Beeb is required to show some opera, ballet, dance, classical music as part of their remit.Who else would show The Proms as well?

very true, but do not forget, if it does not generate enough income, its off without any notice, and that narks me!

Not quite sure...

1. Do they get statistics from the STBs, to tell them which channels are watched?
2. Do the channels pay to be on, or do they pay for the channels?

It depends on who the provider is
