Got the attached email, see pic, from 'ebay'.... was excited until it directed me to log into ebay using my username and password at the following linked address:

http://upgraderank.official.ws/



Just because the domain says 'official' doesn't make it so!...they must think we're :dunce: :Yikes: :disturbd:


I've sent the email to law-enforcement@ebay.com ;)

Why didn't you just forward it to spoof@ebay.com ? :confused:

Email account used to collect the info (fauardatu@yahoo.co.uk) reported to yahoo.co.uk

It can't be a spoof when the address already belongs to EBay, you can spoof the 'from' section of a mail, but not the 'to' section-you can't make the mail go anywhere other than the intended recipient.

Being, as I am, a recovering ebay addict I know becoming a powerseller takes a lot of time and effort plus you have to fulfill certain criteria

How anyone can fall for an email offering it to you in return for just signing into your account I will never know.....

..... but I do know a couple of people (:dunce: ) who did go for it !
