Any news on the new upload speeds?

Saw this news earlier: http://www.uk-bug.net/Article638.html

about new upload speeds and was wondering if there was anything firmer about. As an avid uploader - the speeds seem pathetic when compared to other providers - the 2mbit service would have an upload speed still less than 512k adsl. Dreadful.
