Gwladrugby.com

Help????

I'm not exactly a novice but I aint an expert either....can anyone access www.gwladrugby.com from NTL. I used to be able to, and still can from work, (we're on f2s in there), but cant from my home address. Ive phoned the helpline which turned out to be not much help at all, (they said it was my proxies and I should consult a local pc shop??????). I just want to know how to access this site from home???

BTW.....I'm on the 600k broadband speed and Ive tried both IE Explorer and Mozzilla Firefox, (preferred) browsers, Sygate firewall, (whichj Ive turned off to try), and Spystopper, (which Ive also turned off to try), with the same results. The site just dont seem to want to be loaded????

Any ideas????

Tommo

Works fine here - try manually specifying a different ntl proxy.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your help on this.

I tried this with the lass on the phone and the 'Adress' box is always greyed out whatever I tick or untick?? She said it was to do with my proxies but I cant seem to reset them. This is the only site, (that I know of), that I cant access??? Yet, I used to be able too before the Xmas holidays???

I'm lost.

Re: Gwladrugby.com

Sorry, what exactly is greyed out ?

Re: Gwladrugby.com

Sorry, what I mean is that I cant select or change anything in that partcular box/section. Its like whatever I tick or un tick that section is always 'unnavailable'. I can access the 'advanced' section depending on whether Ive ticked or not ticked the 'UIse a Proxy server for your lan' section, and thats it???

Re: Gwladrugby.com

Have you tried setting a proxy in firefox - as you mentioned that was your preferred choice.

XP Pro, (with SP1 and 2)....tried using Explorer and Firefox....both the same...cant acess that one site??? Firefox says the site contains 'no data' and IE says 'Page cannot be displayed'. Yet it works from work?????

Re: Gwladrugby.com

with mozilla its tools>options>connection settings>tick manual proxy config>enter the proxy address in the http box

Re: Gwladrugby.com

gone into Firefox, but whats the proxy address I should be using?? Ive had a look at the page reffed earlier on in the thread, (http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/article.php?a=21), but my browser doesnt give me any options to choose a server????
Sorry to sound so stupid on this but I'm honestly lost on this?

Re: Gwladrugby.com

In the http section enter swan-cache-1.server.ntli.net in the address and 8080 in the port.

Try this using mozzila for now becuase the greyed out option in internet explorer is another problem.
