STB and composite video

Hi,

Just found this site, and am well impressed with the info to be had. Hope someone may be able to help with my question :)

I have a 4010 box currently, but would like a box that has dedicated composite video outputs. Does anyone know if such a thing exists, or may be in the pipeline? Even better if it had two tuners, but that'd be expecting too much methinks :D

Just get a Scart to three phono / RCA adaptor, plug it in your STB's Scart socket, and away you go!

edit- BTW this works well. Although my freeview box has a RF modulator I get a better freeview signal if I don't include the PC in the RF loop. My PC accepts composite connectors so I use this.

:welcome: Invicta59!

I do not know of any STBs planned or present that have dedicated composite video outputs. But as nffc said you can buy a Scart adapter that will break out the composite video and audio for you.

There is a PVR that is planned for the end of 2005 that ought to have two tuners (although nobody knows for certain yet) but it is very unlikely that will have composite video outputs either (in fact it is almost certain not to).

depending on what you are looking for there are also SCART to . composite boxes from www.letsautomate.com . then you can still use the scart connection to go into TV or video etc and also get a composite connection as well

Looks like a SCART to RCA is the only option then :( Thanks for your help folks :)
