Ok, I know that I've seen a thread here somewhere where somebody talks a about an external HDD which can be plugged into the back of a router (or other network card) and which can then be accessed via the router as though it were another network drive.

I seem to remember that the one mentioned also had a USB port for connecting a printer to.

Anybody know what I'm on about here?

Nope, this was exactly like a normal external HHD (like one that you would normally plug into a USB port on your PC / Laptop) except this one plugs into an ethernet port and has USB connection for a printer built in to it.

Hmm... No, it definately wasn't classed as a NAS device (although it behaved very much like one). It was being described as an external HHD which happened to have a USB plug in for printers.

It was also a h*ll of a lot cheaper than that one :D (I think)
