PayPal Question

Never used paypal before so im v cautious about it. I know its used quite a lot but I dont know whether I will be charged for using it.

I'm wanting to buy some items off a website and its directed me to a paypal thing to pay for it using debit card. The cost of the goods is 104 pounds, and im using my brothers card to pay for it.

Will I only be charged 104 pounds and nothing else? because im not entirely sure how paypal works.

Thanks.

Yes.

edit: Seller when receiving funds via ebay gets charged a fee if the buyer uses a debit or credit card (in fact most shops get charged similar fees). The size of the fee can relate to the number of transactions. Additionally paypal can charge the seller a withdrawal fee of the cash that is in the seller's account. These charges are listed on the Paypal site.

When buying from any website, look for any hidden charges. Some sites will add a percentage to cover their increased costs of card transactions. Check if VAT is included in the price. Look out also for post packing or delivery charges, and finally if it's not from mainland UK, work out if you might get clobbered with Customs Duty.
