has anyone had a call that goes HO HO HO this is santa.... dunno the rest of it becuase i hung up before it got any further

but is it just another one of those press 9 to goto some expensive premium scams?

also i know for a fact our number is registered with TPS yet we still get those annoying you have won a holiday please press 9 calls :mad:

I got one of those and like you I put the phone down so I've no idea what it was about.I then put the answer machine on.Funny how that puts so many of the twerps off.I'm also with the TPS but I keep being bugged from time to time.

1) i dont know how they can get away with charging you for pressing 9 on an imcoming call esp as i dont recall one ever saying if you press 9 you will be charged XXX per min.

2) moreover how do they do it?

The calls do say press 9 but that does NOT transfer it to a premium rate number charging XXX per min.
