No transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient.
:mad:What is it with NTL
Every so often I get this on one of my accounts provided by them.... Everything else continues to work:- Outgoing Mails via other ISP's Internet Browsing Downloads FTP and anything else you care to think of, Just this damned silly message telling me I cannot send mails. I can b!**dy well recieve so what are they playing at. Try to contact them.. "We do not support W2K and Outlook Sir"..... I do not want them to support the bit that works with every other service provider I use on the NTL dial up. I just want them to admit there is an issue with their SMTP service... |

NTL Email problems aren't new, you're not the only frustrated person round here. I stopped using NTLs service directly and have all my emails forwarded to my free email account and I send via my free account.

I usually try to send from my default ntl addy, however - and I agree it is frustrating when smtp errors cause problems. To damn with faint praise, my impression is that the gaps between the outages are getting longer ;) |
Re: No transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient.
Would you B!**dy believe it go out for a couple of hours come back try to resend this evenings mails and lo!!!! it damm well works..
PC has not been switched off Outlook has not been reset the only thing that has happened is auto redial has reconnected after the obligitory 2 hour kick off.. NT HELL is definitely correct.. I like the idea of moving to a free provider of mails and only using NTL to connect. |

OK - anybody here reccommend a free account?
I've just checked my gmail account - I have 44 spam messages....but nobody knows my address - it has not given it out to anyone! How comes I have these messges already!!! Grrrrrrr!!!!! |
Re: No transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient.
They don't need to know your address they just guess some usernames and add @gmail.com, @hotmail.com, @yahoo.com etc on the end. It happens on most free e-mail services now unless you have a really complicated username.

Why not forward your ntl emails to your gmail account? That's what I do - works well. And all the spam sent to my ntl addresses just go straight to my gmail spam folder. |
