reset
can anyone help (new to forum)
my pace box is displaying stagered vertical lines how do you reset the box thanks to anyone who can help:confused: |
Re: reset
Hi woodto,
First things first :welcome: Ok, in order to reset the box all you normally need to do is unplug it, leave it a while (30 seconds should do) and then plug it back in. You will need to leave it a couple of minutes after you have plugged it back in so that it can sort itself out. I'm sure that should do the trick (with regards to resetting) but not sure that will solve your picture prob's. Wait a bit and see if anybody else has any other ideas (or agrees / disagrees with me :D ). Hope you enjoy your stay here at CF :D |

Re: reset
the lines you are talking about are they like this ----
|
Re: reset
if the lines are at the top of the picture and white on black and constantly change, then it's nothing to worry about, it is only the 'teletext' information for that channel.
The channel in question is not broadcasting the picture ratio correctly or the blanking sync is slightly out on the set or transmitter gear. The text information lines are normally hidden and not usually visible to viewers. Ordinary teletext typically uses up to 16 lines within the Vertical Blanking Interval. (Period between active picture fields) |
Re: reset
lol, that was funny "call ntl out" ha ha ha ha, better get yourself a neck brace ready for while you are holding on the line for someone to answer!

Re: reset
Are you using rf ot scart to conect your stb to the tv?
If using RF and have a vcr, try a direct conection from stb (without combiner/bypass) to tv. |
