System Restore won't work

I had to format my HDD after a couple of problems. i reinstalled XP Home without any problems, but i un installed a game and the system restore feature in XP couldn't restore it. Whats going on?

System restore only preserves SYSTEM files in case they get corrupted, games don't really fall into the system files category, otherwise every system restore point would equal the total amount of space used on your hard drive.
