Phone is dead in SK10
My phone had been out of action since wednesday when a motor accidient demolished the NTL Cabinet nearby, NTL have replace the cabinet and last night the TV and Internet came back on, however no phone yet. I get my wife to ring CS and the announcement says SK10 phone is dead. Can somebody find out what is going on and what are we likely to get phone service back. Thank you.

Does this relate to your area: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/sh...749#post353749 ?
[Edit]-Did you wife speak to a CSR, or was that a recorded announcement re SK10 phones being dead? |
Re: Phone is dead in SK10
Yes, its the same cabinet. I think it was a recorded message.

Re: Phone is dead in SK10
CS says they have encountered more problem than expected, so phone won't be back for another day. Fault must be at somewhere else, as nobody is there at the cabinet.

Re: Phone is dead in SK10
It is Saturday almost 3pm, phone still dead, does NTL give out compensation like BT? If so how much are we talking about?

Even then they are not actually required to give you anything at all for the first 24 hours. Often though you will get more than this but it's only a goodwill gesture. I've seen instances where people get the whole £9.50 back for the month's rental if it's taken a few days to resolve a fault. |
Re: Phone is dead in SK10
I have a card put through my letter box from NTL engineer, saying the fault outside my home has been identified and resolved and my telephone should not work, so how come it is STILL DEAD ???????????????? Try to ring them but they are closed for the week end !!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a load of ...........

Re: Phone is dead in SK10
Mods, why don't you merge these 2 threads? Its confusing which one to follow as they are both related to the same incident.
