Dial-Up Sucks sooo bad...
 

Ach,
Im on dial-up at the moment as i have just moved flats and am awaiting BT to test my line for Broadband (Zen 1mb - Whoopie), trouble is until they do that im stuck on Sloathband.

Man i forgot how crap it was, it makes a hell of a difference having broadband thats for sure, i've almost wrecked two keyboards with drool after i've fell asleep on it waiting for pages to load, and now have QWERTYUIOP forged into my right cheek.

Not to mention thats its probably costing me way more money to surf at this more pedestrian pace.

What the heck did we do before BB?

we had never seen the speeds of broadband before so 56k dial up seemed fast :D

I am sure in a few years we will look back and say "1.5mb BB pish!!"

I know the feeling. I had to go through that a few months back. We paid £12 quid on the phone bill for surfing in a week or two, and we really didn't surf much. Night mare...

To add insult to injury - i cant even play Half-Life 2 now. Steam started to update without notifying me for the Half - Life 2 deathmatch - but as its now updating i cant play the game... And there is NO way i can stay on the phone for THAT long. :sobs:

ARGGGGG!!!!!!

If i cant surf or play Half-Life 2 what the hell am i supposed to do?

Dont know if you did anything Russ, but woke this morning to a steady green ADSL light on my modem - so im back up and running (two days ahead of schedule)
