NTL Blocking my mail

Hi
Around 8-10 days ago I noticed that some of the mails I was sending to ntl addresses were being returned with 452 mailbox errors. This was happening not on one account but 3-4.
Being a bit thick I never thought to try my own NTL address, so I posted a load of test mails to my own address and didn't get any of them (with the exception of one sent through yahoo).
I contacted my web host and they looked into it but said it appeared that NTL had either blocked all my domains or the mail server.

I tried to call NTL about this but the woman I 'tried' to speak to at broadband support a) didn't understand or speak very good English and b) had no idea what I was talking about. In the end she gave up and told me to call another number which turned out to be NTL's sales dept

Everytime I tried to call back Broadband support the number was engaged

So I sent them mail from 3 different accounts and I've had no reply.

Is there any way for me to find out if my domains or server are blocked by them?

cheers

what is the domain that you are trying to send from? are you using smtp.ntlworld.com as your smtp server?

Re: NTL Blocking my mail

hi
I have around 6 domains. One of them being zarron.com
I'm using my own mail.zarron.com to send mail. This is true of all my domains.

Re: NTL Blocking my mail

thanks :)

if it is of any use, below is the mail I got from my host about it with a copy of their log files - i've replaced addresses with zzz. If you want the 'proper' info I'll pm it.

The mail sent from zzz@zarron.com to zzz@ntlworld.com has been returned with the same 452 error. In the case of all these emails, the mail is physically being sent from our mailserver to NTL, however NTL are rejecting this.
As you are able to send to your NTL account from Yahoo, this would suggest either the zarron.com and electricvenus.com domains are being blocked by NTL, or they have blacklisted the entire server. The error being received does not agree with this however, as blacklisted mail should be returned with a specific error code, rather than an insufficient system storage error.
The following is the log of your mail sent from zzz@zarron.com to your own NTL address, I would suggest passing this on to NTL as they should be able to advise you as to why the email is being blocked, and why it is rejected with an insufficient system storage error.
