I read in the forum that the 4001 cant be quickly reset, but can it be reset some other way.

Will unplugging reset the STB and wipe all info stored?

Any ideas?

Yes, unplugging will reset it. Do you have a problem with it?

Theres nothing wrong with the STB, I just want to wipe all the info in memory.

Just trying out a new gadget that supposed to block the signal going back from the box and registering your PPV films etc.
They recon you have to reset the box to wipe the memory so when you remove the filter there is no info to send back.

Pretty naughty I know!
Will turning off for a few hours remove this info?

Are you having a laugh

You join this site and the first thing you're asking about is how to rip NTL off :grind:

No one here is going to help you defraud ntl.

Thread closed.

[Edit]-It's people like you that drive the costs up for other customers.

I'd like to pass your details to ntl & let them deal with you. :afire:
