HDRW720 vs NTL analogue

I got Philips HDRW720 which includes an I/Red dongle (to switch channels on my decoder) - trouble is, i have to pick my decoder from a list of 100's, of which mine is not one :o(

I have 'Scientific Atlanta' analogue decoder - since is only I/Red switch, it must be same as another brand - anyone know whether S/A decoder is a clone of any other decoder (Amstrad, Pace, whatever)

Any ideas?

All of the Scientific Atlanta STB's are proprietary Scientific Atlanta mate, other folks have cloned their kit. The only thing that may cause you problems is if you've got a really old series 8500 box (should say on a label underneath)as a lot of stuff these days dosn't have the codes for them, though you can usually get them to work with one of the generic codes.
