Txt message on ntl land line phone!!

Hello,

Just had the strangest thing on out NTL land line phone ...

The phone rung - I picked it up...electronic voice at the other end...

"Hello, you have recieved a txt message from xxxx xxxxxxxx....txt message says..." and then reads out txt message!!

How the f*** does that work!!!
