My phone line died, and so did NTL customer services!
My phone line died yesterday. At first, I got an engaged tone instead of a dial tone; now there is nothing. People who try to call me get a continuous tone.
I am worried that they may have cut it off eight days too soon (we're moving house next Monday), but the Broadband and DTV are still connected and working fine. However, I can't find out what the problem is, because when I call NTL from work, I get a recorded message warning of a 15 minute wait, a request to 'please stay on the line', and then an engaged tone. So I can't even get into a queue to have my problem sorted!! Anyone got any suggestions for what I should do next? :( |

It sounds like a similar thing as what happened to me. I gave them my month notice, and they cut off the phone the same day. It was reconnected within an hour after I gave them a ring, but I think you'll have to call them. Regarding the engaged tone, try again in half an hour or so. You will get through eventually...

As for sorting the problem ... one of our lovely CSR members has offered to have a look into it, so hopefully I'll be spared the telephone queue after all! EDIT Seeing as NTL is now on the case, thread closed. :) |
