dam box

ok i've been watching ntl since midnight, first was skysports1 switched to sky one, flicked few the music chans, noticed time to time screen was blank without sound nothing unusal about the blank screens i've had that pro and lived with it since i got the box.
then i get a reminder for the wwe i tought i'd watch it to see how much it gone down the drain. so tought pah i go watch tim burton on itv1, so i do so then all of a sudden i get this box is time locked. WHAT THE HELL my box is not time locked hell even my parents (who own and pay for it) don't even care about putting stuff like that. then as i flick in the onscreen tv guide seems like theres was like a channel called spice WHAT i've never heard of this channel let alone why its there. so i just unpluged the box then rebooted.
ok it gone but now all the channels are out of order, it like 4 137 5 130 2 1 3 so now i got to sort out the whole channel listing which takes ages on the box.

if i wasn't so late and that i needed to sleep (only wanted to tape a movie) i would go and check the box downstairs but that one never screws up.

box 1 = pace 2000( i think)
box 2 = pace 4000 refab as my 2000 had problems, this has got the 750k broadband on.

so is this likey an ntl prob or my box just screwing up like normal, if it the box maybe i should try and get my parents to fight for a new samsung box not only would it be the best but it fit in with the rest of my room.

bah i'm 16 and it now nearly 1.30am I NEED SLEEP i reply later

many thanks
Paul

dunno something was goign on, woke up at 0100 to get ready for work, TV's on film four (errr no sub to this channel) with a picture instead of the usual reminder. Used the handset to move uo/down my favs and they were all screwed up. SOme weird looking names and most oddly three channles assigned to slot 0. A quick poke at favourites button then red (edit favourites) move one down a slot and then back sve changes and all sorted, things back as they were (the way I want them). Most odd but this is NTL and if its the gremilins doing a pre-halloween spooka round then theyd better not start tomorrow/to night.

Samsung in SK9 7xx, dont know which platform (cant remember)

Anybody in STB land throw any light on this??

Normally I would say something like 'can either of you 2 posters state your case clearly, and ideally in English. so that there is a possibility of someone passing by, understanding and picking up on your problem?'

Translation

1. Woke up at 01:00
2. TV showing 'film four' and not the usual 'reminder' to call CS
3. I don't subscribe to this channel
4. Used the handset to check my favouritess
5. They were all in the wrong locations with three channels apparently occupying slot 0
6. Pushed the red button on the handset (edit favourites)
7. Moved one channel down a slot and then back to its original position
8. Saved the changes
9. Waited while the box did whatever it does
10. Problem solved (things back the way I like them)

Samsung STB in SK9 7xx, dont know which platform (cant remember)

Anybody in STB techs throw any light on this??
