1263 & mobiles

Can you dial a mobile through using the 1263 prefix arrangement on a offnet dialup line?

Simple answer: No.

Why do you want to?

Was advising someone. They wanted to use up their £15 of free calls on the dial up package by phoning mobiles. But there you are if the answer is no. Thanks

Oh, you want to call a mobile from the land line? You can do that at standard ntl rates (or the lower rate if you're on the Mobile Call Plan). I thought you meant could you call via 1263 from a mobile. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
