Disconnected, no dial tone: Cambridge area

Hello,

I have been without a phone line for over two months now, after the phone went dead (no dial tone) suddenly for no apparent reason. I have still been receiving regular bills, paid by DD, and my TV and BB services are unaffected. I have tried many times to get through to Customer Services from phone at work, but never succeeded in getting through (after holding for more than half an hour in each case). Have also sent several messages via the NTL website. I checked the internal wiring from the phone socket, and there is definitely connectivity on lines 2 & 5 up to the main cable box, where it exits the flat. The phone itself is not at fault. My conclusion is that the line must have been accidentally disconnected by NTL.

Can anyone help me get through to someone who can sort this out for me quickly, please? I was thinking of sending an e-mail to Mr Vas Agridhiotis, but I read some posts indicating contact details listed on this site may be out of date. If so, I would be grateful if someone could post up to date details for the Area Manager handling Cambridge.

Thanks a lot.

You could try ringing the out-of-hours telephone fault number on 020 8353 3796. This number should really only be used in an emergency where your telephone line has failed... But I'm sure your ailing relative might need to get hold of you at any time...

Thanks.

To answer your question, combination of too little time and no inclination to stay on hold indefinitely. However, my mobile bill has gone through the roof so I'm determined to do something about it. I'll try that number jimbo suggested, and see how it goes.
