Yes im Weak, I finaly upgraded to a digi box in Leicester , Got a few Q's
 

As a few of you will know I realy dislike the digi boxes for the reason they are normaly buggy. But as I was getting fedup with ntl taking channels off my current package I finaly decided to "upgrade"

So sofar its going on it works apart fom one thing.

Only got it this morning so kick me if im being too hasty,
the interactive setup screen just hangs on my iv left it for about an hour and a half now and its still not budged. I realy wanted to use my red button but it wont let me untill I do this setup :(

Im going to try a reboot in a bit and see if that helps (was warned not to "play" with is too much befor a day was out by a techie)


Secondly,

Any one know of any problems/glitches/easter eggs/fun you can have with a Di4010-N in Leicester?

Last but not leaste

I have the lovely Ir connectors on the back of my box, Is it possiabel to use these ? I have a myth-tv box I would love to use to control it with (I'm techie minded so im not mythed by circut specs.)

Not sure really but you could try 1: power off type reboot for 30 secs or more then press page up, page down & blue on remote to see what the following indicates to you
SNR
AGC
any pre / post errors
& the return power [43 is mine]

sorry could not be any better help but i does take time then try interactive again if still no good call CS ask them to investigate?

A reboot fixed the first problem, it seems if you quit the setup half way though you need a reboot to allow you to do it again. silly box.

I have allready manged to brake my box in some way tho, I got a littel ****ed off and mashed the control with my palm and poped up on screen was a error box saying there was an error and that the box needed to restart press select to continue, well at leatse it now tells you if there is a problem.

So still looking for tricks and what to do with those control things on the back.

You can't do anything useful with the IR ports on the back. If you want to control the STB from something else, use an IR blaster into the IR receiver on the front.

bah ok thanks for the tip,

One thing i have noticed is iv been abel to crash my box a lot and it now gives me a nice error screen saying press select to restart :s

Has the ntl boxes been installed with a skined version of windows ? :P
