Google Desktop Search

Is now available here you can

# Find your email, files, web history and chats instantly
# View web pages you've seen, even when you're not online
# Search as easily as you do on Google

It also searches stuff like previously visited web pages, Instant message logs, E-mails etc. and seems to be really good.

WARNING though - it dosent adhear to user boundaries on you machine - which means that if you have several "users" on your computer and use this tool, then they will be able to "search" your files and they yours. Apparently this is a feature and not a bug...

Glad you liked it - its still BETA so keep an eye on it for further releases but i agree that it is bloody handy.

EDIT- BTW - i should say that with this installed if you goto www.google.whatever there is a Desktop tab, just click that and your searching your PC.
