Monitoring the Rest of My LAN

Hi all,

I have a network here at home where the internet connection is shared between five PCs through a router, so my family all have pcs and have access to the network, the printer, the internet, etc.

The problem is, my sister has decided to start asking about filesharing applications and I would like to monitor her activity to make sure she isn't doing anything she shouldn't be. ;) She hasn't got any yet, but I want to be prepared!

So, my question is, are there any programs you can recommend that will let me see what she is doing, and basically keep an eye on her and the rest of the family?

cheers,

P

You'd have to have something on the router as none of the other computers get involved with each other when routing, so imo you'll just have to keep an eye!

you could try MRTG or PRTG - both are available as freeware..

I have used MRTG and it is pretty good - but I have also heard good things about PRTG...
