Hackers use Google to access photocopiers
http://news.zdnet.co.uk/communicatio...9167848,00.htm
Do hackers really want to see random hairy butts, or age-old jokes destined for notice boards? .. (yes, I know they may get some useful stuff too, but it's more funny to think of the geeks finding nothing but useless garbage) |
Re: Hackers use Google to access photocopiers
What about copies of a companies secrets? Unpublished release dates of apps....government documents........financial organisations.
The implications are endless :) |

Re: Hackers use Google to access photocopiers
Our photocopiers at work are networked, so I can see how this could be possible. Although I'm not sure how you install a patch or ATF on a photocopier - where would you insert the CD?!? :dunce:
Talking of networked things, years and years ago a Coke machine was hooked up to the web at MIT (I think), so it was possible to see if the machine had run out of a particular brand without having to walk to the machine. |
