Broadband Pricing
In order for you to keep your NTL connection how should it be priced .
|
I didn't know anyone was going to take it away from me ;)
but.... as it is now is fine for me.. £35 for 1mb... that'll do me... [EDIT: insert long piece about not caring about the cap here] |
Well, I'd love to have my !M for free, but it's just not on the cards now, is it?
I think £35PM is fair for my connection. I also think that customers should be compensated for 'down time' though. I appreciate that ntl cannot 'guarantee' connection, like pretty much all ISP's, it can't be done. But... when I can't use NTL mail for WEEKS on end or have NO cable for over a week, some recompence in in order. |

I think that the three tiers of broadband service from NTL are not charged proportially, I pay £18/month for 150kb/s, whilst for just an extra couple of pounds(seven?) I could have 600kb/s, or for what I pay now I could have 512k adsl.

i think the pricing urrently is fair im happy paying £34.99 for 1mbit
i would also be happy paying £50 for 2mbit ;) |
Me and my daughter share a 600kb/s. We share the cost as well so not bad for £12.50 each
|
Just a quick reminder for all those happy with £34.99 for the 1meg service it was pressure from users backed by reasoned arguement that resulted in this price reduction from £50 being applied to all.
The return of this price covering use of the service under the original AUP, rather than the "Cap" version, would complete this exercise in user power nicely. |
retep, who gets the extra 1p.
:) LOL |

NTL have over 600thousand broadband customers and I think that bafoon Aizad is expecting another million in the next year. Lower the prices and stop being so *****ing greedy:grind: |

They could afford to lower the price of all tiers. But we're talking about NTL now....doubtful that will happen though. Maybe one day but not for a long time...
I also think they will not release a 2Mbit and slowly lose touch with the rest of the ISP's around. |
they have lost touch

My mum subscribes to the 1Mb service from ntl: for £34.99 per month (although she does not use it much so probably wont for much longer) however i get 2Mb ADSL from Internet Central for just £39.99 per month. I think they should maybe consider lowering the price of 1Mb to say £29.99 per month, 600k to £19.99 per month and 150k to £13.99 per month. I know the 150k price has just increased but it is a touch steep when you consider the 600k pricing already!
