NTL Digibox Pin

Hi people
I recently purchased NTL with digital tv, but using an old digibox i do not know the pin code for pay-per-view movies. I have tried 1234, 0000, 1111 etc but it just gets blocked for 15 mins with the error code MO12.
Is there a way to reset it to factory settings? I am using a Pace digibox.
any help woult be great!:)

If you call NTL they will be able to reset it for you.

I would, only i dont have an ntl tv contract, just the box and connection and broadband. Just wanted the free channels and boxoffice... think they will still give me it or is there another way round?

If the box was given to you by NTL, then phone them and they'll be able to help. If it's a dodgy one you've got off eBay, you'll get no help from NTL, nor this site I'm afraid.

If you have a NTL digi box and do not have a contract then you are illegally holding some equipment that does not belong to you.

I suggest you let NTL know and arrange for it to be picked up and arrange a legal contract.

Unlike sky, NTL digi boxes are rented and not sold.:D

Hold on, let's not jump to conclusions here.

There are a small proportion of customers who cancelled their TV and were allowed to keep just the broadband via the set top box. I don't arrange that myself, but I do know on quite a few occasions it does/did get done because it's a lazier option than the proper one, which is to arrange a cable modem.

It sounds like that's what this customer has. If so, then ntl won't allow the free to air channels through it, however, I can't see any problem with helping the customer book PPV films...at the end of the day, that is generating revenue for the company. What I *don't* know, is whether a box with no channel packages will physically allow the booking of PPV...one of STT specialists will have to answer that one!

Apologies if I am wrong, but I'd be willing to bet that the above described situation applies to this customer, so let's not all jump in and accuse him of having a dodgy box.....

No it won't. The ability to buy PPVs is removed at the same time the channels are removed.

Fair enough. I suspected so.

Our original poster will need to subscribe to the base pack to get access to PPV then........
