What a blog?

What is a blog ? I seen them everywhere so i know what it is but how is it created and how would one get it on his own site for free ? I just running my own website on my linux box.

TigaSefi - Blog = Web Log, a sort of endless toilet paper of a bulletin board. If you want some open source software (free) here's one, but there are lots of others -
