Spam -Different
 

Is anybody getting Spam that considts of just the envelope. No message header or message, just the empty envelope. What is this type of spam is it just for nuisance purposes or what?

Yep and I've no idea what it means.I just treat it as spam.

perhaps just checking the email addy is genuine before hitting you with the porn spam..

Anyone who keeps sending me a email with no subject matter and no message body doesn't deserve me to even bother.

Some of them have no content at all. It might be a bug in spamming software. There was a thread on this a while ago:

im not so sure i once got one of these which had the subject but nothing else

and the subject was nochex service announcemnt, as i use nochex it definatly wasnt spam well not in my eyes anyway.


maybe the NTL email servers are playing up again... is it possible for them to lose some/all the body text and headers?

Ah, your last post in the thread I just linked to suddenly makes sense. I don't know, but hopefully someone with knowledge of affairs will come along shortly...
