FTP Password Problem Please Help!
 

Hi all,

I have changed my FTP client and now I can't log on to upload to my website. It says the NTL password is wrong, however my password works fine for email. I've tried going to the ntlworld site and changing the password, but that doesn't work either. I seem to remember this happened with the first FTP client as well and I resolved it by entering the original password which NTL provided when I signed up, not the one I changed it to. Unfortunately I no longer have it written down anywhere.

Any ideas?

Call Tech support, you cannot change the ftp password, ony tech support can change that for you.

I'm off till Monday or I'd have said just pm me.

I suspected that's what I'd have to do, shame they're not open till monday :(
Wanted to do some work on the site tonight and tomorrow.

they are open now, tech support is open 8 am till midnight 7 days a week:D

If you still have your old ftp client installed then you can retrieve the pwd from it using a "behind the asterisks" type program, such as these.

What number should I call? Have tried 151 and it says customer services is closed until monday :confused:

BTW I'm in lincolnshire if that makes any difference?

either 0845 650 0125 for bb through your stb or 0845 650 0121 through a cable modem
or 0845 650 0925 if you live in an area where you could get bb through either stb or cable modem, and get it through a cable modem

I have a STB for the telly AND a cable modem for the 'puter!!!
