connection problem ?
I get odd connection problem with uk websites.
I can be visiting sites ok but suddenly get "page not available". After leaving ie for a while i can return and all is ok again. Happens everday for past month or so. Tried nslookup on sites and no problems. Done the usual modem reboot etc. Any info appreciated. |
Re: connection problem ?
I usually only get that with this site (and no-one has explained that either)

Re: connection problem ?
Could be a dodgy cache server - have you tried manually specifying another ?
|
Re: connection problem ?
Tried alternate proxy, if that's what you mean, with no improvement.

Re: connection problem ?
just been checking sites and after visiting a few all was ok and then at 12.07 gone again and still no access 12.16.
the sites are: adobe.co.uk, abxzone.com, theregister.co.uk, nebula-electronics.com, currys.co.uk, pcworld.co.uk. I can visit nthellworld & cable forums + some other uk sites ok and all other sites are ok. |
Re: connection problem ?
What DNS server's have you got configured ?
|
Re: connection problem ?
Obtain dns server address automatically is setting in ip(tcp/ip) properties.

Re: connection problem ?
Try setting them specifically ... I use
194.42.224.130 194.42.224.131 See if that helps .. |
Re: connection problem ?
I'll give that a try and see if any change, although all returned to normal at 12.20 and so will probably be ok for a while anyway.
